Relationship between M1 Law and Addlington West Legal

M1 Law is delighted to announce a new strategic partnership with Addlington West Group (AWG) to form Addlington West Legal (AWL), a company that specialises in business energy claims.

The lawyers at M1 Law have vast experience in the field of processing claims for consumers and small businesses. Creating a partnership to form AWL is a continuation of our commitment to righting the wrongs that have been done through receiving mis-leading or bad advice.

One example of this is business energy claims, an area of claims that we are currently working in.

Many, businesses rely on brokers to source their requirements for energy. Brokers stand between the supplier and the customer who expects that their broker will find them the best deal possible for the best terms and small businesses are particularly vulnerable to poor advice.

Brokers are required, by law to disclose any commissions or financial incentives to their customers. However, many did not disclose their commissions, making it impossible for customers to know whether they were being given the “best available offer” that the Broker could have found. Most commissions are built in to the pricing structure of the deal and are paid directly from the chosen supplier, but this is not often disclosed to the customer who has no immediate way of knowing.

Businesses are generally unaware that they could be owed a tens of thousands of pounds in compensation.

The AWL partnership not only ensures that we reach these businesses effectively but also connects us with business claim funders. This means that we can offer our small business clients a funded solution to recover the compensation that they are entitled to.

M1 Law processes each business energy claim on its individual merits, carried forward by our litigation experts.
